Support the Database & Application servers on Amazon cloud. Provide on-call support during working hours and over the weekend to ensure continuity of service.
- Daily database health check done at 8 AM, 12 PM and 3 PM UK Time
- Database Capacity Planning-Daily Monitoring of DB growth rates.
- Automated Reports generated daily and sent to Stakeholders
- Designed Database Backup Strategy-SQLBackupMaster tool for Sql server and Task Scheduler for Ravendb
- Recommended and setup Disaster Recovery Strategy
- Support development team during Deployment
- Manage Security at Database Level
Results
Due to proactive monitoring of the website, downtime has reduced. Development and Support teams work together to ensure smooth releases with no impact on website performance.
